This garden is located in Sebastopol, along the scenic country drive to Bodega Bay: Surrounded by vineyards and farmland, this contemporary cottage is sited on a large, gently sloping piece of land with beautiful views.
The design called for easy accessibility into the garden areas, via wide timber steps and gravel paths. The garden had to be sustainable, informal and show a vibrant blend of summer- dry, Mediterranean type plant material. Large groups of plants with a colour palette of hot oranges, reds, blues and violet were selected to flower continuously throughout the seasons. The front garden was recently completed and the rear garden is still in progress.
