PROFILE
Ann Rosmarin grew up in South Africa, in a country town surrounded by the Magaliesberg mountains: A Bushveld area punctuated by Acacias, Aloes, Red Hot Pokers as well as avenues of Jacaranda trees and citrus groves. She also spent time in the Cape and grew to love the spectacular scenery of this Mediterranean climate. The wild beauty and spirit of Africa provided the foundation for her future landscape design business.
Ann earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She moved to London in 1973, furthered her studies at the Central School of Art and Design, and taught art and printmaking.
She immigrated to the United States in 1977 and continues to return to South Africa and the United Kingdom regularly to visit family and to consult on projects.
Rosmarin Landscape Design was established in 1990 as a natural extension of her artistic education and passion for gardening. She continues to attend courses, seminars and travel on garden tours in the United States and abroad to enrich her understanding of the field.
